CIRCULAR NEEDLES = 6 and 7 mm (cables 100 cm and 60 cm for sleeves)
OTHER = stitch markers, tapestry needle.
This cardigan is worked back and forth from he bottom-up in one piece until the underarm, on circular needles to make room for all stitches. The yoke is worked in 3 separate pieces, 2 fronts and the back. Sleeves are worked in rounds picking up stitches along the armhole.

1/1 rib st: * K1, P1 * rep ** to the end; Next Row: work sts as they appear.

Procedure
Body
Cast on 130 (142, 154) sts with needles 6 mm.
Row 1 (RS): * K1, P1 * rep ** to the end.
Row 2 (WS): work sts as they appear
Repeat Rows 1 and 2 another 4 times.
Change to needles 7 mm.
Row 9 (RS): K56 ( 62, 68 ), SM, follow CHART A for the next 18 sts, SM, K 56 ( 62, 68 ).
Row 10 (WS): P56 ( 62, 68 ), sSM, follow CHART A for the next 18 sts, sSM, P 56 (62, 68 ).
Repeat Rows 9 and 11 for the next 27 ( 28, 29) cm.
Right Front [28 (31, 34) sts]
Work only the fist 28 ( 31 , 34 ) sts on needles in stocking st as follows:
Row 1 (RS): K 28 ( 31 , 34 ), turn .
Row 2 (WS): P.
Repeat Rows 1 and 2 another19 (20, 22) times.
Leave these sts on hold and work the next sts remaining on needles to form the back.
Back [74 (80, 86) sts]
Work the next 74 ( 80, 86 ) sts on needles to form the back. Start on RS of the work.
Row 1 (RS): K28 (31, 34), sSM, follow CHART A for the next 18 sts, sSM, K 28 (31, 34).
Row 2 (WS): P to sSM, sSM, follow CHART A for the next 18 sts, sSM, P to the end.
Repeat Rows 1 and 2 another19 ( 20, 22 )times.
Leave these sts on hold
Left Front [28 (31, 34) sts]
Work as for Right Front on the remaining 28 ( 31, 34 ) sts on needles starting on RS.
Leave sts on hold.
SHOULDERS
Sew with the Kitchener Stitch the 28 ( 31, 34 ) stitches left on hold from each front at the back to form shoulders. Leave the other sts on hold (back neck), they'll be knitted with the central edge.
SLEEVES (X2)
Work in round
With 7 mm needles and the shorter cable pick up and knit 60 ( 60, 64) stitches along the armhole. Place SM at the underarm and start working in the round as follows:
Rounds 1: K 24 ( 24, 26), SM, follow CHART B for the next 12 sts, SM, K 24 ( 24, 26)
Work Round 1 for the next 95 rounds or until the desired length.
Decrease round: * K2tog * rep** to the end.
Change to needles 6 mm
Work 12 rounds in 1/1 rib st: * K1, P1 * rep ** to the end.
Cast off all sts.
Make the second sleeve.
FINISHING
With 7 mm needles pick up 98 (104, 108) sts along the right central edge, 18 sts along the back neck, and 98 (104, 108) sts along the left edge. [214 ( 226, 234) sts]
Work 8 rows in 1/1 rib st as follows = RS rows:* K1, P1 * repeat from * to * to the end.
WS rows: work sts as they appear.
Cast off all sts.
Weave in all ends. Wash and block garment carefully.
