MEASURES

Size 40

POINTS USED

Chain, slip st., single crochet, half double crochet.

INSTRUCTIONS

FRONT LOWER PART

With 2.5 mm hook and color blue, work 16 ch.

1a row: 1 hdc on 3° ch from hook and 1 hdcin each ch to the end, turn [15 idc counting the 2 ch of the beginning]

2a row: 2 ch, 1 hdc in each st to the end, work the last hdc on 2a ch of beginning of the previous row. Change to color old pink and turn.

3a - ‘8a rows: rep 2a row, change color every 2 rows.

At about 4 cm from the beginning , always continue in rows, working (2 ch and 1 hdc) in the first st at the beginning of each row to increase 1 st until reaching a total of 39 sts and 24 cm of height.

Leave on hold the work ring.

BACK LOWER PART

Turn the lower part of the front upside down and resume working on the basic chains with the same procedure, but starting from the 2° row, increase 1 st at the beginning of each row until reaching a total number of 56 sts and 25 cm cm of height.

JOINING FORNT AND BACK

1° joining round: without cutting the yarn, work 32 ch, 1 sc in each st of the front, work 32 ch, 1 sc in each st of the back; close with 1 sl st in the ch of the beginning.

2° round: 2 ch, 1 hdc in each ch and in each sc of the round; close with 1 sl st in 2°

ch of the beginning.

3° round: 1 ch, 1 sc in each hdc of the round; 1 sl st in the ch of the beginning.

4° round: 2 ch, 1 hdc in each sc of the round; 1 sl st nella 2a ch of the beginning.

Continue repeating rounds 3°and 4° until you reach an height of 31 cm, maintaining the set sequence of colors.

Continue repeating rounds 3°and 4°, decreasing 6 sts evenly during each round in sc, up to the waistline.

UPPER FRONT PART

Resume work in hdc in back and forth rows only on the front sts (RS), decreasing 1 st at the beginning of each row (= 1 ch and 1 hdc closed together) and 2 sts at the end of each row (= 3 hdc closed together).

Continue in this way, keeping the alternation of colors as set, until you reach the top edge of the neckline.

While working, distribute the decreases as indicated or according to the need to make the customized measurements.

While working the last 2 rows of the neckline, make 2 buttonholes in the 2 corners for the passage of the cord that adjusts the costume:

1a row (with buttonholes): 2 ch, 1 hdc in the same base st of the 2 ch, 2 ch, skip 2 sts(1° buttonhole), 1 hdc in each st until 3 sts before end, 2 ch, skip 2 sts (2° buttonhole), 1 hdc in the last st.

2a row: 1 ch, 1 sc in each hdc, 2 sc in the 2ch-space of each buttonhole

Cut the yarn and close.

FINISHING

Using color pearl gray and 3 mm hook finish the costume evenly with 2 rounds in sc, starting from the 1st buttonhole to the right of the costume. Finish the legs in the same way.

Cords: with 3 mm hook and color pearl gray work 2 cords of 90 cm.

Sew 2 ends of the cords on the 2 sides of the top edge of the back, cross the cords and pass the opposite ends through the buttonholes on the front, so that the cords can be tied behind the neck.

Weave in all ends on WS.

Cut the lining to the same size as the costume, adding 2 cm of seam allowance on each side, fold in the seam allowance and sew the lining along the inside edges of the costume (WS), using the sewing needle and nylon thread.
