NB: across this section, for each increase work 2 sts. into the same base st.; insert the tip into the base st. and knit it, don't drop the st., then insert again the tip into the back loop of the same base st. and K tbl.

140th round: knit, increasing 10 sts., at steady distance, across the round. [138 sts.]

From 141st to 157th round: knit. [138 sts.]

158th round:knit, increasing 8 sts., at steady distance, across the round. [146 sts.]

From 159th to 173rd round: knit. [146 sts.]

174th round:knit, increasing 10 sts., at steady distance, across the round. [156 sts.]

From 175th to 269th round: knit. [156 sts.]

From 270th to 279th round: rib 2/2, for lower band shaping.

280th round: bind off all sts. as they appear.

Cut and tie off the yarn. Hide the ends inside the fabric.

SLEEVE

Using the circular needles with tips no. 6, pick-up the sts. for one sleeve (you have left on cable), 6 sts. of the undersleeve and 1 st. on each side of the undersleeve; PM to divide the sts. in half (this is the centre of the undersleeve), then close in ring shape and continue in stocking st.

From 1st to 29th round: knit. [62 sts.]
