First triangular band

Cast-on 4 ch.

1st row: 2 tr in 4th ch from hook, turn. [3 sts.]

2nd row: 3 ch (instead of 1st tr, also in next r.), 1 tr in next st., 1 tr in 3rd beg. ch of prev. row, turn. [3 sts.]

3rd row: 3 ch and 1 tr in 1st st. (1st increase), 1 tr in next st., 2 tr in 3rd beg. ch of prev. row (2nd increase), turn. [5 sts.]

4th row: 3 ch, 1 tr in each of next 2 sts., 1 tr in 3rd beg. ch of prev. row, turn. [5 sts.]

5th row: 3 ch and 1 tr in 1st st., 1 tr in each st. until last st., 2 tr in last st. (= 3rd beg. ch of. previous r.), turn. [7 sts.]

6a row: 3 ch, 1 tr in each next st. until the end of the row, turn. [7 sts.]

From 7th to 42nd row: rep. 5th and 6th row. [43 sts. at the end of 42nd row]

43rd row: rep. 6th row. [43 sts.]

44th and 45th row: rep. 5th and 6th row. [45 sts.]

46th row: rep. 6th row. Cut and tie off the thread. [45 sts.]

Second triangular band

Work as given for first one until 45th row; at the end of 45th row, do not turn.

46th row: 3 ch, 1 dc in last tr of 46th row of first band (this dc lay in the middle of front neckline), then turn and work 1 tr in each of next 44 sts. of second band, cast-on 49 ch and shape the base for back piece of central section, at last work 1 sc in 3rd beg. ch of 36th row of first band (do not twist the ch-string), close in a circle. Turn and do not cut the thread.

Central section

1st round: 3 ch (instead of 1st tr, also in next r.) ,1 tr in each of 49 ch you have cast-on, 1 tr in each of next 45 sts. of first band, 1 tr in central dc, 1 tr in each of 44 sts. of next band.; close with 1 sc in 3rd beg. ch. [140 sts.]

From 2nd to 23rd round: 3 ch, 1 tr in each tr; 1 sc in beg. ch. Cut and tie off the thread.

The central section measures 19 cm in heigh, if needed, work some rows extra.

Cont. working 2 pieces of panties separately, then divide the panel in half, 70 sts. for front and 70 sts. for back.

Front panty

Using 2 M, mark 39 central sts. of front.

1st row: 3 ch (instead of 1st tr, also in next r.), 1 tr in each of next 38 sts., turn. [39 sts.]

2nd row: 2 ch and 1 tr tog. on first 2 sts. (1st decrease), 1 tr in each of next tr until 2 sts. before the end, 2 tr tog. on last 2 sts. (2nd decrease), turn. [38 sts.]

From 3rd to 10th row: rep. 2nd row. [21 sts. at the end of 10th row]

11th row: 2 ch and 1 tr tog. on first 2 sts. (1st decrease), 2 tr tog. on next 2 sts. (2nd decrease), 1 tr in each of next tr. until 4 sts. before the end, 2 tr tog on fourth from last and third to last st. (3rd decrease), 2 tr tog. on second to last and last st., turn. [17 sts.]

From 12nd to 14th row: rep. the 11th row: [5 sts. at the end of 14th row]

Cut and tie off the thread.

Back panty

Using 2 M, mark 49 central sts. of back.

1st row: 3 ch (instead of 1st tr, also in next r.), 1 tr in each of next 48 sts., turn. [49 sts.]

2nd row: 2 ch and 1 tr tog. on first 2 sts. (1st decrease), 1 tr in each of next tr until 2 sts. before the end, 2 tr tog. on last 2 sts. (2nd decrease), turn. [37 sts.]

From 3rd to 13th row: rep. 2nd row. [25 sts. at the end of 13th row]

14th row: 2 ch and 1 tr tog. on first 2 sts. (1st decrease), 2 tr tog. on next 2 sts. (2nd decrease), 1 tr in each of next tr until 4 sts. before the end, 2 tr tog. on fourth from last and third to last st. (3rd decrease), 2 tr tog. on second to last and last st., turn. [21 sts.]

From 15th to 18th row: rep. 14th row: [5 sts. at the end of 18th row]

Cut and tie off the thread.

If needed, add one or more rows of 5 tr.

FINISHING

Sew the lower edges of panties on WS, closing the crotch and shaping the legs opening.

Work 2 rounds in dc on top edge of bathing suit and around the legs opening.

Hide the ends through the sts. on WS.

Shoulders laces (x 2)

1st row: join the yarn on point of one triangular band and work 3 ch and 1 tr, turn.

2nd row: 1 ch, 1 dc in 3rd beg. ch of prev. row, turn.

3rd row: 3 ch, 1 tr in beg. ch of prev. row, turn.

Rep. 2nd and 3rd row until the end of 27th row. Cut and tie off the thread, then hide the ends.

Work second shoulder lace on point of second triangular band.

Decorative laces (x 3)

Thread 20 beads, then work as foll.: join the yarn with 1 sc in 1 edge-dc of front neckline (top lace, in the picture), (4 ch, move 1 bead close to the hook and fix it with 1 sc) rep 10 times, work 4 ch and close with 1 sc in corresponding dc of opposite edge of neckline.

Join the yarn, 4 rows in tr under the 1st lace and work as given above, making 3-ch-groups instead of 4-ch-groups.

Hide the ends inside the fabric.
