YARN = 550 grams of VASTO by LAINES DU NORD as foll.: 200 grams col. 11, 200 grams col. 10, 150 grams col. 1
YARN = 50 grams of SUPER KID LUXURY LINE by LAINES DU NORD.
CIRCULAR NEEDLES = 5.5 mm and 6 mm points with 80 cm cable; 5.5 mm short points with 40 cm cable.
OTHERS = darning needles, stitch marker (SMb of different color), pins, scissors, tape measure, waste-yarn.

Rib 4/4 in round: 1st round and next rounds - (k4, p4) across the entire round.
Shell stitch: follow the instructions below.
Slip 1 k-wise.: slip 1 stitch knit wise.

Decrease to the left: slip 1 k-wise, slip next stitch too. Move both stitches onto left needle and then knit them together though back loop.

FRONT AND BACK UNTIL THE ARMHOLES
Lower band
Using Vasto green col. 11 yarn and 5.5 mm points with 80 cm cable, cast-on 144 (144-168-168) sts. and close in round, placing 1 SMb.
Work 10 rounds rib 4/4 and across last round place 1 SM every 12 m.
Body
Using points 6 mm work in shell stitch.
Beginning round of shell stitch:
1st r.: k10, turn.
2nd r.: slip 1 p-wise with yo, p8, turn.
3rd r.: slip 1 k-wise with yo, k9, turn.
4th r.: slip 1 p-wise with yo, p10, turn.
5th r.: slip 1 k-wise with yo, k11 until SMb, do not turn.
Rep. from 1st to 5th r. until end of round, removing the SM as you work (12 times in total).
Cont. purl. 1 round until SMb, remove the SMb and place the SM as foll.: the 1st after 6 sts. (new SMb) and next every 12 sts. Cut the yarn.

Work 10 rounds rib 4/4 and across last round place 1 SM every 12 sts.
Body of the sleeve
Use 6 mm points.
Work the beginning round of shell stitch and shell stitch pattern as given for front and back.
Rep. the shell round from SMb to purl round 13 (13, 14, 14) times more, alternating the col. as foll.: white col. 1, mixed green col. Verde 10 Kid, green col. 11, green col. 10, (white col. 1).
Cont. with white col. 1 (mixed green col. Verde 10 Kid) as foll.:
1st r.: k8, turn.
2nd r.: slip 1 p-wise with yo, p4, turn.
3rd r.: slip 1 k-wise with yo, k7, turn.
4th r.: slip 1 p-wise with yo, p10, turn.
5th r.: slip 1 k-wise with yo, k11 until SMb.
6th r.: purl until SMb.
Leave all sts. onto waste yarn.
FINISHING
Using the darning needle join in graft st. the corresponding 24 sts (36 sts. for size L-XL) of each shoulder, leaving 24 central sts. for front and back neckline. Sew the sleeves, in graft st.
Collar: using 5.5 mm points and 40 cm cable, pick-up 48 sts. around neckline edge (24 24), then work 10 rounds rib 4/4, incr. 16 sts. across 1st round (64 sts.). At last, bind off all sts. loosely.
Hide the ends. Wet and block the garment at stated measures.
