YARN = 6 (7-8-9) balls x 50 grams of col. 02 ANDINA COLOR by LAINES DU NORD
INTERCHANGEABLE CIRCULAR NEEDLES: size 3.5 mm and 4 mm points with 100 cm and 60 cm cable (for the sleeves).
OTHERS = stitch wires with caps, stitch marker, darning needle, scissors, tape measure
Work the sweater top-down in round, beginning from the yoke. Work the sleeves around the armholes.
Read the diagram of open-work stitch from bottom to top and from right to left.
The instructions below refer to sizes S (M-L-XL), so number before the brackets refers to size S, while numbers into the brackets refer to size M-L-XL.
Garter stitch in round: 1 round in knit stitch and 1 round in purl stitch.
Stocking stitch in round: knit all rounds.
Open-work stitch: multiple of 8 sts., rep. from 1st to 16th round.
RS = right side of work

Procedure
YOKE
Using circular needles with size 3.5 mm points and 100 cm cable, cast-on 112 (114-116-120) sts., place the SMb and close in round, making sure the stitches facing the same direction.
Work the band in garter stitch:
1st round: knit.
2nd round: purl.
Rep. 1st and 2th round twice more.
Using size 4 mm needles, work 2 rounds in knit stitch.
1st round with increases: knit, distributing 40 (46-52-56) M1 uniformly. [152 (160-168-176) sts.]
Work 1 round in knit st. and cont. working 16 rounds in open-work st. following the diagram.
Work 4 rounds in knit stitch.
2nd round with increases: knit, distributing 60 (68-72-88) M1. [212 (228-240-264) sts.]
Work 24 rounds in knit stitch.
3rd round with increases: knit, distributing 68 (82-100-106) M1. [280 (310-340-370) sts.]
Work 16 rounds in knit stitch.
4th round with increases: knit, distributing 40 (58-60-70) M1. [320 (368-400-440) sts.]
Work 4 (6-8-10) rounds in knit stitch.
DIVIDE THE STITCHES FOR SLEEVES SHAPING
For all sized.
Leave 56 (68-74-82) sts. onto a stitch wire (place the caps at the end) for first sleeve, cast-on 4 (4-6-6) sts. for undersleeve, knit 104 (116-126-138) sts. for the front, leave 56 (68-74-82) sts. onto a stitch wire (place the caps at the end) for second sleeve, cast-on 4 (4-6-6) sts. for the undersleeve, knit 104 (116-126-138) sts. for the back.
BODY
Cont. working 216 (240-264-288) sts. of the front, back and undersleeves, then work in stocking st. the same number of stitches, reaching 33 (34-35-26) cm from undersleeves.
LOWER BAND
Using circular needles with size 3.5 mm points, work 6 rounds in garter stitch. Bind off all sts.
SLEEVES
Move onto circular needles with size 4 mm points and 60 cm cable 56 (68-74-82) sts. you have left, pick-up 4 (4 -6 -6) sts. of the undersleeve and place 1 SMb in the center of these stitches.
Work in stocking st. in round on 60 (72-80-88) sts. reaching 42 cm from undersleeve, approx.
Band (cuff)
Work 8 rounds in garter st. and then bind off all sts.
Work the second sleeve as given for first one.
FINISHING
Hide the ends. Wet and block. Wear!
