YARN = 150 grams of col. 14 CASHSILK COTTON DEGRADE' by LAINES DU NORD
INTERCHANGEABLE CIRCULAR NEEDLES = size 4.5 mm and 5 mm points, 80 cm cable.
SHORT POINTS CIRCULAR NEEDLES = size 4.5 mm and 5 mm points, 40 cm cable.
OTHERS = stitch marker, row counter, darning needle, scissors, tape measure.
Work the garment in a single piece from bottom to top, until armholes, then cont. Working 2 pieces separately until shoulders and, at last join the shoulders using 3 needles bind off technique.
It's an oversize garment.
The instructions below refer to sizes S/M (L-XL), so numbers before the brackets refer to size S/M, while numbers into the brackets refer to size L and XL.
Rib 3/2 in round. Stocking stitch in round. Stocking stitch in back-and-forth rows.

Procedure
FRONT AND BACK UNTIL ARMHOLES
Using circular needles with size 4.5 mm points and 80 cm cable, cast-on 200 (220) sts. and close in round making sure the stitches are facing the same direction, then place one SMb and work as foll.:
From 1st to 3rd round (RS): purl.
From 4th to 6th round (RS): knit.
Rep. from 1st to 6th round 4 times, then from 1st to 3rd round once.
Using size 5 mm points, cont. in stocking st. in round.
1st round: knit until SMb.
Rep. 1st round until the end of 70 (80) round.
Cont. working 2 pieces separately in stocking st. in back-and-forth r.: 100 (120) sts. for back and 100 (120) sts. for front
TOP BACK
1st r. (RS): knit.
2nd r. (WS): purl.
Rep. 1st and 2nd r. until the end of 40th r.
Leave 32 (40) sts. for the shoulder, 36 (40) sts. for neckline and 32 (40) sts. for shoulder.
TOP FRONT
Work as given for top back until 30th r. then, for neckline shaping, work as foll.:
31st r.: k44 (52), bind off 12 (16) central sts., k44 (52).
Cont. working two pieces separately.
Right part of neckline:
32nd r.: p44 (52).
33rd r.: bind off 4 sts., k40 (48).
34th r.: p40 (48).
35th r.: bind off 4 sts., k36 (44).
36th r.: p36 (44).
37th r.: bind off 2 sts., k34 (42).
38th r.: p34 (42).
39th r.: bind off 2 sts., k32 (40).
40th r.: p32 (40).
Leave 32 (40) sts. for the shoulder.
Left part of neckline:
Work as given for right one, reversing all shaping.
COLLAR
Using the 3 needles bind off technique, join the shoulders.
Using size 4.5 mm points, pick-up 80/88 sts. around the neckline (front and back) uniformly and work as foll.:
From 1st to 3rd round (RS): purl.
From 4th to 6th round (RS): knit.
Rep. from 1st to 6th round 4 times, then from 1st to 3rd round once.
Bind off all sts. loosely.
SLEEVES
Using size 4.5 knitting needles and 40 cm cable, pick-up 64 sts. around armhole uniformly and place SMb at undersleeve.
Work stocking st. in round as foll.:
1st round: knit until SMb.
Rep. 1st round until the end of 80 (90) round.
Cont. working the band as foll.:
From 1st to 3rd round (RS): purl.
From 4th to 6th round (RS): knit.
Rep. from 1st to 6th round 4 times, then from 1st to 3rd round once.
Bind off all sts. loosely.
FINISHING
Hide the ends. Wet and block. Wear!
