YARN = 3 balls x 150 grams of col. 05 POEMA STRIPES by LAINES DU NORD
INTERCHANGEABLE CIRCULAR NEEDLES: size 4 mm points, 80 cm cable.
SHORT POINTS CIRCULAR NEEDLES = size 4 mm points, 40 cm cable.
OTHERS = cable needle, stitch marker, darning needle, scissors, tape measure
Work the garment bottom-up in one piece, until reaching the armoholes. Divide in 2 parts and continue working separately up to the shoulders, which you will join in graft st. using the darning needle. Work the opening edges at the same time as the 2 fronts. Then work in round the sleeves around the armholes.
The instructions below refer to sizes S (M-L), where the number before the parentheses corresponds to size S, while the numbers into the parentheses refer to sizes M-L.
Patterned rib 2/2. Stocking stitch in back-and-forth rows. Stocking stitch in rounds.

FRONT AND BACK UNTIL THE ARMHOLES
Using Poema yarn, circular needles with size 4 mm points and 80 cm cable, cast-on 264 (272-280) sts. and work. 28 rows in patterned rib 2/2 as follow:
1st r. (RS): sl1 k-wise, k2 (p2, k2) rep. until 5 sts. from the end, p2, k3
2nd r. (WS): sl1 p-wise, p2 (k2, p2) rep. until 5 sts. from the end, k2, p3
From 3rd to 6th r.: rep. 1st and 2nd r.

Leave the sts. of front and cont. working only the sts. of the band, as length as half of back neckline, then leave these sts. too.
BACK
Row 81 (85-89): knit until the end of r.
Row 82 (86-90): purl until the end of r.
Rep. the row 81 (85-89) and the row 82 (86-90) until the end of row 142 (146-150), then leave the sts.
LEFT FRONT
Row 81 (85-89): knit until 21 sts. from the end, 21 sts. for the band, like set out.
Row 82 (86-90): 21 sts. for the band, like set out, purl until the end of r.
Rep. the row 81 (85-89) and row 82 (86-90) until the end of row 142 (146-150).
Leave the sts. of the front and cont. working only the sts. of the band, as length as half of back neckline, then leave these sts. too.
SHOULDERS AND COLLAR FINISHING
Join the stitches of the shoulders (front and back) you have left.
Join the stitches of the band in graft st., shaping a single band (closed at back center), then sew the band on back neckline.
SLEEVES
Using size 4 mm points and 40 cm cable, pick-up 100 sts. around the armhole. Close in round and place the SMb in the center of undersleeve.
1st round: knit until SMb.
From round 2 to round 100 (106-112): rep. the 1st round, incr. 12 sts. across last round, uniformly.
Cont. working the band (cuff) in patterned rib 2/2 as foll.:
From 1st to 4th round: p1 (k2, p2) rep. until 3 sts. before the SMb, k2, p1
5th round: p1, (cross 3 L, cross 3 R, p2) rep. until 7 sts. before the SMb, cross 3 L, cross 3 R, p1.
6th round: p2, (k4, p4) rep. until 6 sts. prima del MG, k4, p2
7th round: p2, (cross 2 R, cross 2 L, p4) rep. until 6 sts. before the SMb, cross 2 R, cross 2 L, p2
8th round: like 6th round.
