NOTES

This hat is worked in the round with circular needle. The high rice grain edge makes the work double and therefore also very hot.

MEASURES

Adult size

POINTS USED

Rice grain, Stockinette stitch, simple inlay work

INSTRUCTIONS

Cast on 60 stitches, close in the round, put on the stitch marker, work 26 rounds with the chocolate color, moss stitch (1 straight stitch, 1 reverse stitch, swapped on the next round).
With the pink color now start making 26 rounds of stockinette stitch (all straight)
At this point we can make the squares of another color with the inlay technique.

The thread should not be carried behind for all the work, but only for the area that interests us, then the remaining threads must be cut and hidden on the back.
Prepare a beige thread of about 180 cm, fold it in half, bring half of the thread to the front with the other half wrap the thread of the work, the pink one, so that it stops slightly.

Now work 3 beige stitches, leave the pink yarn very soft and work 3 sts. pink, beige again, pink again, beige again, now with pink continue for 20 stitches, do the same with brown.
Now when you are back to beige, and therefore you have finished the 1st round, take the long yarn that you left in front, pass it around the yarn of the pink work, and do as before: 3 beige, 3 pink ... the same with brown .
When you get to beige for the third and last round you now have no yarn left, cut a slack again, this time shorter and work as before, same thing with the chocolate color.
Now make 3 pink rounds, then again the color inlays, but this time only 2 staggered squares.

With the first system.
Work 4 more rounds of pink, then continue with beige for another 4 rounds.
Now you will have 60 stitches, put an MP every 15 stitches and make the decreases as follows: 1 PPL before each MP every other round, 5 times, make 1 more round then close with the thread by choking the stitches (cut the thread leaving it at least 20 cm long.thread it in a wool needle and thread all the stitches by removing them from the iron, when you are finished pull and firm the thread).
Hide the pigtails well, being careful not to pull the strings too much.
