KNITTING NEEDLES = size 6,5 mm
OTHERS = darning needle, scissors, tape measure.
10 x 10 cm = 12 stitches and 17 rows in stockinette stitch using size 6.5 mm knitting needles.
It is very important to check your gauge and measure the tension correctly to achieve the same results and measurements as the pattern. If the gauge is different, try adjusting the needle size up or down by half a size until you get the correct measurement.
Fisherman's rib stitch: multiple of 2 stitches
- RS: p, k1-b
- WS: k1-b, p
k1-b: Knit 1 into the stitch below the next stitch on the left needle.
sl2p (slip 2 purl-wise): slip 2 stitches from left to right knitting needle purl-wise (yarn in front).
Edge stitches (side ICORDs): on both RS and WS, slip the first 2 stitches purl-wise (sl2p,) knit the last 2 stitches.

Procedure
Cast-on 48 stitches (for a wider scarf, cast on more stitches, but always an even number)
Row 1 (WS): *k1, p1* rep until the end of the row
Row 2 (RS): sl2p, *k1-b, p* rep until the 2 sts from the end of the row, k2
Row 3* (WS): sl2p, p, k1-b * rep until the 2 sts from the end of the row, k2
Repeat rows 2 and 3 until you have reached your desired length.
Bind off all sts and hide the ends.
Wash and iron.
PATTERN DESCRIPTION
The scarf is worked in one piece, flat in back-and-forth rows, starting from one end and continuing to the other. It is worked in fisherman's rib stitch, and the edges are finished in i-cord.
