PIUMA FANCY DRESS
YARN = PIUMA FANCY by Laines du Nord col n. 5, 8 balls.
NEEDLES = size 8 mm circular needles with 80 cm cable, circular needles with short tips size 5 mm, 5.5 mm and 7.5 mm with 40 cm cable.
OTHERS = Stitch marker, row counter, darning needle.
The garment is worked top-down in one piece seamless. The pattern includes 3 sizes: as a guide, each size increases by 2 cm in width at the sides and 2 cm in finished length.
10 stitches and 16 rows in stockinette stitch using size 8 mm needles = 10 cm afterblocking.
Stockinette stitch in the round
Round 1: knit.
Repeat round 1: knit.
Rib 1x1 in the round
Round 1 (RS): *k1, p1*.
Repeat round 1.
RS = right side of the work.
WS = WRONG side of the work.
k = knit.
p = purl.
K2tog = knit 2 stitches together.
skp = slip 1 stitch, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over.

SM (BOR) = stitch marker of the beginning of the round
P-SM (BOR) = place the stitch marker of the beginning of the round

Procedure
FRONT AND BACK UNTIL THE ARMHOLES
Using size 5.5 mm tips and 40 cm cable, cast-on 56 stitches and close in round, placing the SM (BOR).
Work 6 rows in rib 1x1, then continue as follows:
YOKE
Switch to size 8 mm tips.
Raglan set-up round: k9, P-SM, k2, P-SM, k6, P-SM, k2, P-SM, k18, P-SM, k2, P-SM, k6, P-SM, k2, P-SM, k9.
Row 1: knit until the 2 sts before the first SM, turn.
Row 2: purl until the SM (BOR), M-SM (BOR), purl until the 2 sts before the first MP, turn.
Row 3: knit until the SM (BOR), M-SM (BOR), knit until the next SM, M-SM, k2, M-SM, knit until the next SM, M-SM, k2, M-SM, k1, turn.
Row 4: purl until the SM (BOR)., M-SM (BOR), purl until next SM, M-SM, p1, M-SM, purl until next SM, M-SM, p1, M-SM, p1, turn.
Row 5: knit until the SM, *right incr, M-SM, k2, M-SM, left incr *, knit until the next SM, repeat from* to*, knit until the SM (BOR)., M-SM (BOR), knit until the next SM, repeat from* to*, knit until the next SM, repeat from* to*, knit until the double stitch, k1, turn.
Row 6: purl until the next double stitch (moving all the stitch markers), p1, turn.
Row 7: like row 5 but ending with k2.
Row 8: like row 6 but ending with p2.
Row 9: like row 5 but ending with k3.
Row 10: like row 6 but ending with p3.
You have completed the short rows section. Restart working in the round.
Round 1: knit until the SM, *right incr, M-SM, k2, M-SM, left incr*, knit until the next SM, repeat from* to*, knit until the SM (BOR), R-SM (BOR), knit until the next SM, repeat from* to*, knit until the next SM, repeat from* to*, knit until the front center, P-SM (BOR).
Round 2: knit until the SM (BOR).
Round 3: knit until the next SM, *right incr, M-SM, k2, M-SM, left incr*, knit until the next SM, repeat from* to*, knit until the next SM, repeat from* to*, knit until the next SM, repeat from* to*, knit until the SM (BOR).
Round 4: knit until the SM (BOR).
Repeat Round 3 and Round 4 until Round 24 (28, 32); 296 (320, 344) stitches.
Round 25: knit, removing all the stitch markers.
DIVIDE SLEEVES FROM BODY:
k25 (27, 29), leave next 38 (42, 46) stitches (sleeve), P-SM (BOR), k50 (54, 58) (back), leave next 38 (42, 46) stitches (sleeve), knit until the SM (BOR).
Set-up round: knit placing one SM after 50 (54, 58) stitches to mark the side.
Knit, increasing 1 stitch on both sides of the SM (BOR) and of SM every 14 rounds, 10 times (until the round 140) (14, 28, 42, 56, 70, 84, 98, 112, 126, 140).
Round 141 (or until you have reached your desired length):knit until the SM (BOR).
From Round 142 to Round 144 (switch to size 5 mm tips): knit until the SM (BOR).
Round 145: Icord: cast-on 3 sts on left hand needle, k2 and k2tog-tbl, *slip 3 sts on left hand needle, k2, k2tog-tbl * repeat from *to* until the last stitch. Slip 3 sts on left hand needle, k2, pass the first stitch over the second stitch on the right-hand needle, place 1 new SM (BOR) on the left-hand needle, k2tog-tbl, pass the yarn through the st. Hide the ends and block.
SLEEVE
Using size 8 mm tips and 40 cm cable, pick up 38 (42, 46)sts you have left, place one SM (BOR) and continue as follows:
Round 1: knit until the SM (BOR).
Knit, decreasing 1 stitch on both sides of SM (BOR) every 12 (9, 7) rounds 4 (6, 8) times (until the Round 48, 54, 56) (12, 24, 36, 48).
From Round 49 to Round 72 (from 75 to 78, from 77 to 80) (or until you have reached your desired length):knit until the SM (BOR).
From Round 1 to Round 3: Icord: cast-on 3 sts on left hand needle, k2 and k2tog-tbl, *slip 3 sts on left hand needle, k2, k2tog-tbl * repeat from *to* until the last stitch. Slip 3 sts on left hand needle, k2, pass the first st over the second st on the right-hand needle, place 1 new SM (BOR) on the left-hand needle, k2tog-tbl, pass the yarn through the sts. hide the ends and block.
Round 4:bind off all stitches loosely.
Work the second sleeve.
FINISHING
Hide the ends. Wet and block.
