YARN = “Spring wool” by “Laines du Nord“:

Color 1. Grey (cod 2): 4 (5, 6) X. 50g / 125mballs.

Color 2. Dark green (cod 11): 1 (1, 2 ) X 50g / 125m balls.

Color 3. Light blue (cod 8): 1 (1, 2 ) X 50g / 125m balls.

Gr 330

NEEDLES = 5 mm( cable 60 cm for the cowl)

OTHER = tapestry needle

SAMPLE

18 stitches and 30 rows = 10 X10 cm in garter st. with needles5 mm.

Adjust the needles size if it’s needed to achieve the correct gauge.

INSTRUCTIONS

FRONT

With needles 5 mm and C2 cast on 86 ( 90, 98) stitches.

Work 2 rows in garter st. (=K all rows)

Change to C3and work2 rows in garter st.

Change toC2and work2 rows in garter st.

Change to C1 and work in garter st. until the piece measures about 19 ( 22, 25) cm.

Work in fantasy st as follows:

With C2

Row 1 (RS): K all stitches

With C2:

Row 2 (WS): K1 * K2, slip 2 sts purlwise with yarn in front * rep ** to 1 st before end, K1.

Row 3 (RS): K all stitches

With C3:

Row 4 (WS): K1 * slip 2 sts purlwise with yarn in front, K2 *rep ** to 1 st before end, K1.

Row 5 (RS): K all stitches

Repeat from Row 2 to Row 5 another 14 times.

With C2 work as follows:

Leave stitches on hold.



SHOULDERS

Sew with the Kitchener Stitch the 18 (23, 24) stitches left on hold joining front and back to form shoulders. Leave the central sts on hold [46 ( 48, 50) sts] for the neck.



NECK

Slip the 92 (96,100) held stitches from holderto5 mm needles (using the short cable). [ 46 ( 48, 50 ) sts from the front and 46 (48, 50) sts from the back ]. Place SM and work in the round with C1 as follows:

Work 2 rounds in garter st (Round 1: K; Round 2: P)

Change toC2 and work 2 rounds in garter st.

Change to C3and work2 rounds in garter st.
