SHARE:

10 x 10 cm = 10 stitches and 14 rows in Stockinette stitch using size 8 mm tips.

It is very important to check your gauge and measure the tension correctly to achieve the same results and measurements as the pattern. If the gauge is different, try adjusting the needle size up or down by half a size until you get the correct measurement.

Join in the round: slip first stich purl-wise from left to right needle, pass the last stich over the slipped stitch and drop it, pull the cast-on end tightening the stitch, place one SM (BOR) to mark the beginning and the end of the round; take care to move it at every round.

Procedure

Using col 3, size 8 mm tips and the 80 cm cable, cast on 42 (44- 46- 48) sts.

Set-up row: p2 (3-3-4), SM, p7 (7-8-8), SM, p24 (24-24-24), SM, p7 (7-8-8), SM, p2 (3-3-4).

Work in back-and-forth rows with raglan increases.

Row 1 (RS): knit until 1 st before SM, M1R, k1, SM, k1, M1L, repeat from to 4 times total: 50 (52-54-56) sts.

Row 2 (WS): purl.

Row 3 (RS): k1, M1L, knit until 1 st before SM, M1R, k1, M-SM, k1, M1L, repeat from * to * 4 times, knit until 1 st from the end of the row, M1R, k1. Total: 60 (62-64-66) sts.

Row 4 (WS): purl.

Repeat Row 3 and Row 4, 3 times. Total: 90 (92-94-96) sts.

Section 1:

Row 1 (RS): knit until 1 st before SM, M1R, k1, SM, k1, M1L, repeat from* to* 4 times, knit until the end of the row, cast on 12 sts. Join in the round and knit until the 1st SM (SM BOR). Total: 110 (112-114-116) sts.

Round 2: knit.

Round 3: k1, M1L, knit until 1 st before SM, M1R, k1, SM, k1, M1L, repeat from * to * 4 times, knit until 1 st before SM, M1R, k1.

Round 4: knit.

Repeat Round 3 and Round 4, 8 (9-10-11) times. Total: 190 (202-214-226) sts.

Stop working the body increases and work the sleeves increases only:

Round 1: k1, M1L, knit until 1 st before SM, M1R, k1, SM, k1, M1L, knit until 1 st before SM, repeat from * to *, knit until SM (BOR).

Repeat Round 1 and Round 2, twice.

Knit until 1 st before the SM that separates the front from the left sleeve, M1R, k1, M-SM, work the sleeve without increases.

Work the back until 1 st before the next SM, M1R, k1, M-SM, work the sleeve without increases.

Work the front until 1 st before SM (BOR), M1L, k1, M-SM.

Knit until the first SM and, on the back, work M1L in symmetrical position.

56 (58-60-62) sts for the front,

45 (47-49-51) sts for each sleeve,

56 (58-60-62) sts for the back.

Separate the body from the sleeves: hold 45 (47-49-51) sts of the left sleeve on a waste yarn, cast on 3 (6-4-2) sts, k56 (58-60-62) sts, hold 45 (47-49-51) sts of the right sleeve, cast on 3 (6-4-2) new sts, k56 (58-60-62) sts.

BODY:

Knit all sts (18 cm).

Work 7 cm band in 11 rib 1x1 (or your desired length).

SLEEVES:

Pick up the 45 (47-49-51) held sts of the left sleeve and the 3 (6-4-2) sts from the armhole, place the SM of beginning and end of the round.

Using the Magic Loop technique, work from Round 1 to Round 5 in knit stitch.

Round 6: *slip 2 sts onto a cable needle in back of work, knit the next 2 sts, move the 2 held sts back onto the left needle and knit them, slip 2 sts onto a cable needle in front of work, knit the next 2 sts, move the 2 held sts back onto the left needle and knit them * repeat from * to * until the end of the round.

From Round 7 to Round 12: knit.

Round 13: slip 2 sts onto a cable needle in front of work, knit the next 2 sts, knit the 2 sts from the cable needle, slip 2 sts onto a cable needle in back of work, knit the next 2 sts repeat from * to * until the end of the round.

From Round 14 to Round 18: knit.

Repeat from Round 6 to Round 18, twice.

Repeat Round 6 and Round 7, then using col 29 continue with the sequence from Round 8 to Round 12.

Repeat from Round 13 to Round 18 once.

Knit 1 round, decreasing 24 (24-26-28) sts evenly.

Switch to size 5 mm tips and work 7 rounds in 1x1 rib.

Bind off all sts loosely.

NECK:

On RS, using size 7 mm tips, 80 cm cable and yarn col 3, pick up 70 (72-74-76) sts around the neckline.

Round 1: knit, decreasing evenly 10 sts. Total: 60 (62-64-66) sts.

Round 2: 1x1 rib.

Repeat Round 2 twice, using size 7 mm tips, then switch to size 6 mm tips and repeat Round 2, 6 times. Bind off all sts loosely.

INSTRUCTIONS

The garment is worked in the round and seamless, using the Top-Down technique. The sleeves are worked in the round using the magic loop technique. The instructions below refer to size S, for the other sizes follow the instructions in parentheses (M-L-XL).
