YARN = POEMA MOHAIR by Laines du Nord, a ball of col. 10 and SOFT CARDED MERINO by Laines du Nord, a ball of col. 5 and a ball of col. 21.
CIRCULAR NEEDLES = size 5 mm needles with 60 cm cables.
10 x 10 cm = 17 sts x 18 rows in Stockinette Stitch using Soft Carded Merino and size 5 mm needles.
It is very important to check your gauge and measure the tension correctly to achieve the same results and measurements as the pattern. If the gauge is different, try adjusting the needle size up or down by half a size until you get the correct measurement.

Double decr = (decrease 2 sts), slip 2 sts k-wise , k1 , pass 2 slipped sts over knitted st.
Rep = repeat
bind off = bind off (using the skp technique)
yo = yarn over
skp = slip 1 st knit-wise, k1, pass slipped st over. Continue binding off all sts.

Procedure
Using size 5 mm needles and Soft Carded Merino col. 21, cast- on 85 sts.
Row 1 (WS): Purl all sts.
Row 2 (RS): Knit all sts.
Row 3 (WS): With Soft Carded Merino col. 5, purl all sts.
Row 4 (RS) Chevron Stitch: p1, yarn in back, slip second st p-wise, k2tog, k8, yo, k1, yo, k8, double decr, k8, yo, k1, yo, k8, double decr, k8, yo, k1, yo, k8, double decr, k8, yo, k1, yo, k8, skp, slip second last st p-wise, p1.
Row 5 (WS): using Poema Mohair, purl all sts (yo included).
Rep Rows 4 and 5, alternating yarns according to the instructions, until you run out of the Poema Mohair ball.
Work last 4 rows as given for the beginning of the pattern, alternating the Soft Carded Merino colors. Bind off all sts with skp technique.
Weave in all ends on the WS using a darning needle.
KNITTING INSTRUCTIONS
Work flat (rows back and forth) on RS and WS. Repeat Chevron Stitch on every RS row: 2 Chevron motifs and 2 selvage (edge) sts on each side. Alternate yarns in sequence or as desired, always working the same Chevron pattern in Stockinette Stitch. Work with Poema Mohair loosely, repeating 16 rows sequence. Work with Soft Carded Merino regularly, using the same needles size and alternating the two colors every 2 rows. Change yarn on WS, weaving in the yarn tails.
