MATERIAL

YARN = NATURA by LAINES DU NORD
col. A (purple – cod. 31): 2 (3; 3; 4) balls x 100 grams.
col. B (orange – cod. 30): 2 (3; 3; 3) balls x 100 grams.

CIRCULAR NEEDLES = size 4 mm points, 100 cm cable and 60 cm cable (for the sleeves).

OTHERS = stitch wire with caps (or scrap yarn) to leave the stitches, darning needle with large eye, pins, stitch marker, scissors, tape measure.

SAMPLE

10 x 10 cm = 23 sts. and 31 r. in stocking st. using size 4 mm needle. For right tension, you can change size of needles.

SKILL LEVEL: Experienced

Using circular needles, work top-down in round. Work the bands of the sleeves in round around the armholes.

To mark the beginning of the rounds, move the SM at the end of every round.

The number before the brackets refers to size S (in the picture), the numbers inside the brackets refer to sizes M-L-XL

Change of color: when you are working with 2 colors, using index of left hand, move (do not pull) the unused yarn on back of work, crossing it with other yarn (to keep it from making hole).

POINTS USED

Rib 1/1 in round: (k1, p1) across the entire r. and every next r.

Stocking stitch in round: always in knit stitch on RS.

k2tog (knit 2 stitches together): insert the right needle into next 2 sts. of left needle and knit them together.

Skp (slip, knit, pass): slip 1 stitch k-wise, knit next stitch, pass slipped stitch over knitted stitch.

S2kp-r (slip 2 tog., knit, pass slipped sts over – it shapes central rib): slip 2 sts. tog. k-wise on right needle, knit next stitch, pass 2 slipped sts. over knitted st.

Incr. (make one): using tip of the needle, lift horizontal yarn between 2 sts. and knit through back loop.

Bind off, loosely: slip 1st st. as it appears, work 1 st. as it appears, pass slipped st. over worked st., (work next st. as it appears, pass 1st st. over 2nd st. of right needle) rep. binding off stated number of sts.

YOKE

Using circular needles with size 4 mm points, 100 cm cable and col. A, cast-on 116 (120; 124; 128) sts. 1 st. Close in round (do not twist) working first and last st. tog., place 1 SM and shape the collar.

From 1st to 5th round: rib 1/1.

Change color and use col. B.

From 6th to 11th round: follow the diagram 1 and, at the end of 8th round, change color and use col. A.

12th round: use col. A, knit, distributing 20 (24; 28; 32) incr. fairly [136 (144; 152; 160) sts.]

From 13th to 23rd round: follow the diagram 2, alternating 2 colors like shown.

Cont. using col. B.

24th round: knit, distributing 48 (48; 48; 56) incr. fairly [184 (192; 200; 216) sts.]

25th and 26th round: knit.

From 27th to 42nd round: follow the diagram 3.

From 43rd to 45th round: knit.

BODY

Using col. A work in stocking st. the sts. of front, back and new cast-on sts. of the armholes; 26 (27; 28; 29) cm from undersleeve approx.

Cont. foll. diagram 6, alternating the colors like stated.

Lower band

Using col. A, work 6 rounds rib 1/1 and, at last, bind off the sts. as they appear.

UNDERSLEEVE BANDS

You have shaped the short sleeves across working of yoke (together with front and back).

Slip 62 (68; 72; 76) sts. from stitch wire to circular needles (size 4 mm point and 60 cm cable) then, using col. A, restart working 2 (4; 6; 6) sts. of undersleeve in knit st., placing 1 SM in the middle of these sts. to mark the beginning of the round, then cont. in round. [64 (72; 78; 82) sts.]

Work 4 rounds rib 1/1 and, at last, bind off the sts. as they appear.

Shape the second sleeve like first one.

FINISHING

Hide the ends on WS.

Wet and block the garment.
