YARN = YOUNG AND TRENDY by Laines du Nord col. 70, 2 balls, POEMA MOHAIR by Laines du Nord col. 30, 2 balls and YOUNG AND TRENDY SOLID by Laines du Nord col. 34, 6 balls.
FERRI = size 7 mm knitting needle (for rib st) and size 6.5 mm knitting needle for other sts.
OTHERS = darning needle.
Cast-on

Decreases (2 sts tog and skp)

OTHER SIZES
For bigger size, increase:
- 4 sts in width
- 4 rows in length (front and back)
Keep neckline decreases as size S; add only rows in stockinette st without decreases. For the sleeves increase 2 sts for each size.
Procedure
BACK
Using size 7 mm needles, cast-on 54 sts and work 6 rows in rib 1x1.
After working 6 rows rib 1x1, switch to 6.5 mm knitting needles and work in stockinette st (knit 1 row, purl 1 row), 67 rows.
Shoulders decrease
At row 68:
On RS:
- Bind off 6 stitches on the right
- Knit remaining sts
On WS:
- Bind off first 6 stitches
- Purl remaining sts
Repeat this sequence twice more.
You have bound off:
- 18 stitches for the shoulder
At last, bind off 18 remaining central stitches.
FRONT (2 PIECES)
Using size 7 mm needles, cast-on 28 sts.
6 rows in rib 1x1.
Switch to size 6.5 mm needles and work in stockinette st until row 38.
Across the working, alternate:
- 2 rows with multicolor yarn
- 2 rows with double Mohair yarn
Decreases in neckline shaping
Decrease at following rows:
39 - 43 - 47 - 51 - 55 - 59 - 63 - 67 - 71 - 75
Right piece
On RS:
work until last 3 sts, then:
- Knit the third-to-last and second-to-last stitches together.
- Knit last st
Left piece
On RS:
- k1
- slip second st
- knit third st
- pass the second st over the third st
knit until the end of row.
On WS work the sts as pattern.
Shoulder decreases
From row 74, bind off 6 stitches 3 times.
- Bind off the right front on RS
- Bind off the left front on WS

Front pieces require more rows than the back due to Mohair's lower row gauge compared to a single strand of Young & Trendy

FINISHING
- Join the back and two fronts along the sides and leave the sleeves opening.
- Join the shoulders.
- Close the sleeves lengthwise.
- Join the sleeves at the cardigan.
