NOTES

This sweater is worked in the round with circular needles, the different color patterns are easy to make as it is not jacquard, but they are past stitches. This means that you only ever carry one thread at a time. This model has a round spur, the explanations indicate in which round to make the increases and how many, there are no precise points in which to do them, in fact it is indicated to "distribute them evenly". The model does not have particular difficulties in making, but still requires a certain familiarity with knitting in the round.

MEASURES

Size: Tg 42 (S) tg 44 (M)

POINTS USED

Stockinette stitch, ALL STRAIGHT ROUND,
RIBS 2 straight, 2 reverse
Passed stitch pattern

INSTRUCTIONS

START
Cast on 56 S (M 60) stitches in gray, cast off in the round and put on MP.
Work the neck in rib 2 straight 2 purl for 20 cm
At the end of the neck you knit straight:

1st round distribute evenly 14 inc. (M 16) = 70 m (M 76)
2nd 3rd straight round
4th round distribute evenly 10 inc. (M 12) = 80 m (M 88)
5th 6th straight round
7th round distribute evenly 12 inc. (M 14) = 92 m (M 102)
8th 9th straight round
10th round distribute evenly 12 inc (M 14) = 104 m (M 116)
Now we start work with the past colors and stitches.

With ice work: straight 1m, one stitch passed with the yarn back all the way around.
Now with gray knit the stitch from the previous round and pass the next stitch with the back yarn.
With turquoise knit the stitch you passed first and pass the next stitch with the yarn in front.
Now work straight on the ice by distributing 14 inc. (M 14) evenly = m 118 (M 130)
Work 4 more rounds on ice and on the 5th round distribute 16 inc. (M 16) = m.134 (M 146)
Now knit 1 stitch with turquoise, slip the next one with the front yarn.
With gray knit the stitch that was slipped first and pass the next one with the back yarn.

To work:
2 rounds in gray and on the third distribute 16 inc (M 18) = 150 m (M 164)
2 turns turquoise
3 rounds gray and on the third distribute another 16 inc. (M 18) = 166 m) (M 182)
3 laps on ice
Start again with gray by increasing 18 inc for a total of 184 sts (M 200) plus 2 more rounds of gray without inc. Up to here, the work must measure about 18 cm from the beginning of the neck.

DIVISION OF THE SHIRTS TO separate the sleeves from the bust:
From MP work 25 sts, (M 27) then put a thread in a knitting needle and thread 42 sts
(M 46) which are to be left open. Turn piece and fit 6 (M 8) stitches in new. Turn the piece back to the other stitches and continue counting 50 sts, (M 54) thread a needle again and suspend 42 sts. (M 46) Turn the piece over and fit 6 (M 8) stitches as new. Turn the piece back towards the other stitches and continue to the MP for another 25 sts. (M 27)
TOTAL m. Tg S = 196, Tg M = 216.
Now continue in the round with the gray to make the bust. In the underarm make decreases in correspondence with the previously increased stitches (two per round in alternating rounds until all are decreased).
After about 22 cm, always increase at the sides, 2 increases spaced by 2 stitches.
Repeat after 4 rounds.
Now work 2 rounds of turquoise, 3 rounds of gray, 1 round of ice.
Knit 1 stitch with turquoise, pass the other stitch with the yarn in front.
With gray, knit the stitch you passed first and pass the other stitch with the yarn behind
With the turquoise knit the stitch that was passed before and pass the other stitch with the yarn behind.
Continue in turquoise for another 2/3 cm, then make the ribbed edge 2/2 as high as you like.

SLEEVES
Collect the 42 stitches (M 46) of the sleeves on one needle, also collect the 6 (M 8) stitches previously mounted, and others on each side of the latter (3 more x side = total 12 (M 14)), making way of not making holes; if not, they will be closed with the gray wire = 54 (M 60)
Continuing in the round with the sleeve, also here decrease the stitches in the under sleeve, put 2 MP to delimit the extra stitches collected in the underarm so as to make it easy to identify those to be decreased, i.e. 2 per round, one round and one round.
Continue in the sleeve and after the elbow, if it is large, always make decreases in correspondence with the underarm. Work as desired before the wrist 2 turns of ice, 2 in gray, 3 in turquoise, 3 in gray and finish the cuff in 2/2 rib for the desired height.
