TURTLENECK SWEATER
DIFFICULTY = Very hard
YARN = MERINO YAK (50 grams ball) col 036 dark green 375 (400 - 425 - 450) grams, KID SILK NUANCE (25 grams ball) col 022 dark green 125 (135 - 145 - 155) grams.
CIRCULAR NEEDLES = size 5 - 6 mm tips; size 60, 80, 120 cm cables.
OTHERS = darning needle, stitch markers, scissors, tape measure.
10 x 10 cm = 18 stitches and 24 rows in stockinette stitch using size 5 mm tips.
It is very important to check your gauge and measure the tension correctly to achieve the same results and measurements as the pattern. If the gauge is different, try adjusting the needle size up or down by half a size until you get the correct measurement.
Join in the round: slip first stich purl-wise from left to right needle, pass the last stich over the slipped stitch and drop it, pull the cast-on end tightening the stitch, place one SM (SM (BOR)) to mark the beginning and the end of the round; take care to move it at every round.

Body and sleeve separation:
Round 1: knit to SM, remove SM, leave 45 (45 - 45 - 45) sts on waste yarn, cast on 6 new sts, knit to SM, remove SM, slip 45 (45 - 45 - 45) sts on waste yarn, cast on 6 new sts, place SM (BOR).
Round 2: knit.
Repeat Round 2 for 72 rounds.
Switch to 6 mm tips.
Work 1x1 rib in the round:

SLEEVES:
Using size 5 mm tips and 80 cm cable, pick up 3 sts from armhole and knit them, knit 45 (45 - 45 - 45) held sts, pick up 4 sts from armhole and knit them, place SM of beginning and end of the round.
Round 1: knit.
Repeat Round 1 until sleeve measures 32 (32 - 32 - 36) cm.
Work 1x1 rib in the round:
Round 1: (k1, p1) repeat to the end of round.
Repeat Round 1 for 25 rounds.
Bind off all sts loosely.
Weave in and hide all ends.
Work the second sleeve as given for first one
FINISHING:
Fold the collar inwards and sew loosely with the darning needle.
Weave in and hide all ends.
