Slip the sts. onto circular needles with no. 5.5 tips, then work 26 r. in lace st.

27th r.: decrease 9 sts. on columns worked in rev. stocking st., uniformly.
From 28th to 34th r.: work in lace st.
35th r.: decrease 10 sts. on columns worked in rev. stocking st., uniformly, and not line-up them.
From 36th to 44th r.: work in lace st.
45th r.: work like 35th r.
From 46th to 58th r.: work in lace st
59th r.: work like 35th r.
From 60th to 66th r.: work in lace st.
67th r.: using no. 4.5 tips, work as set before until the 76th r.
77th r.: using no. 4 tips, continue as set before until the 84th r.
85th r.: using no. 3.5 tips, continue as set before until the 114th r.
115th r.: using no. 4 tips, continue as set before until the 124th r.
125th r.: 1 increase (= p1 and 1 p tbl into the same st.) 10 times on the rev. stocking-columns and continue as set before, until the 131st r.
132th r.: 10 incr. like across 125th r. and cont. as set before until the 138th r.
139th giro: 10 incr. like across 125th r. and cont. as set before until the 145th r.
146th giro: 10 incr. like across 125th r. and cont. as set before until the 154th r.
155th giro: divide the panel and continue working 2 pieces (front and back separately) in back and forth rows and, at the same time, for armholes shaping, on both edges, bind off 4 sts.

NB: now leave the second part of sts. (back) on contrasting colour yarn or on cable needle and work only the sts. of first part (front).

156th r. and even r. (WS): work the sts. as they appear and the yo in purl.
157th r.: lace st. in ribs.
158th r.: on both edges work 1 decr. (2 sts. from each edge): k2tog on the right and skp on the left.
159th r. and odd r. (RS): lace st.
160th-162nd-164th-166th-168th-170th-172nd-174th-176th-178th-180th-182nd-184th-186th r.: like 158th r.
187th r.: lace st.
188th r.: using no. 2.5 tips, work in stocking st., decr. as given for 158th r.
From 189th to 193rd r.: stocking st.

Bind off all sts. in stocking st.

Work the second part (back)as given for first part (front)

Shoulder belts and finishing touch of armholes (x 2)

Using no. 2.5 knitting needles, cast-on 25 sts.

1st r.: knit
2nd r.: purl.
3rd r.: k25, then pick-up 83 sts. around the armhole and work them in stocking st.
4th r.: purl (25 83)
From 5th to 9th r.: stocking st.
10th r.: bind off all sts.

Work the second shoulder belt and give the finishing touch to second armholes as given for first ones, reversing all shaping.

Cut the yarn and hide the ends inside the fabric.
