OTHER = stitch markers, tapestry needle.

SAMPLE

18 stitches and 25 rows = 10 X10 cm in stocking st. with needles 5 mm. Adjust the needles size if it’s needed to achieve the correct gauge.

INSTRUCTIONS

With needles 4.5 mm and color 1 cast on 90 (98, 98) sts, pace SM and join in the round.

Rounds 1 - 6: work in 1/1 rib st.:

*K1, P1* rep ** to the end

Round 7: K

Switch to needles 5 mm and follows this color sequence:

5 rounds withcolor 1 and 5 rounds with color 2(keep this sequence throughout the pattern)

Round 8: K

Round 9:place stitch markers for increases as follows:

SM of the beginning of the rounds, K 8, (10,10) ( first sleeve), place SM, K2, MP, K 33 (35, 35) (front), place SM, K2, place SM, K 8,(10,10) (second sleeve), place SM, K2, place SM, K 33, (35, 35) (back), place SM , K2

Now start increases to form sleeves, back and front as follows:

Round 10: kfb, K to 1 st before SM, kfb, K2, kfb, K to 1 st before SM, kfb, K2,

kfb, K to 1 st before SM, kfb, K2, kfb, K to 1 st before SM, kfb, K2 (= 8 sts increased)

Round 11: K

Repeat Round 10 and 11 another 22 (24, 29) times

Now place the sts for each sleeve onto holder or scrap yarn as follows:

Place the first54 (60, 70) sts onto holder or scrap yarn (first sleeve), cast on 2 (2, 4) sts for underarm, K 83 (89, 99), place the next 54 (60, 70) sts onto holder or scrap yarn (second sleeve), cast on 2 (2, 4) sts for underarm, K 83 (89, 99)

Work the body ofite sweater.

Body sts: 170 (182, 206)

Work in stocking st (K all rounds), always following the color sequence (5 rounds with color 1 and 5 rounds with color 2) until the sweater measures about 27 cm from underarm.

Hem

With 4.5 mm needles and color 1 work 6 rounds in 1/1 rib st:

*K1, P1 * rep** to the end

Cast off all stitches.

SLEEVES ( X2) All Sizes S (M,L):

Keep following the color sequence.

Slip the 54 (60, 70) held stitches from holder to 5 mm needles (using the short cable or DPNs if you prefer); pick up and knit 2 (2, 4) underarm sts.

Place SM in the center of the underarm sts and work in the round

Stitches: 56, 62, 74

Work in stocking st (K all rounds), always following the color sequence (5 rounds with color 1 and 5 rounds with color 2) until the sleeve measures about 37 cm from underarm.

Decrease round: K and decrease evenly 16 sts

Cuff

With 4.5 mm needles and color 1 work 10 rounds in 1/1 rib st:

*K1, P1 * rep** to the end

Cast of all stitches.

Make the second sleeve.

Weave in all ends, wash and block garment carefully.
