INTERCHANGEABLE CIRCULAR NEEDLES = size 4.5- and 5.5-mm points, 80 cm cable.
SHORT POINTS CIRCULAR NEEDLES = size 4.5- and 5.5-mm points, 40 cm cable.
OTHERS = waste yarn, stitch marker, darning needle, scissors, tape measure.
Work the sweater top-down in one piece without seams. It is an oversized garment with positive ease, designed to fit size S to size M. The neck is shaped using shortened needles.
Use 2 yarns together as one (double yarn).
The instructions provided below refer to sizes S (M-L), where the number before the brackets corresponds to size S, while the numbers into the brackets refer to sizes M-L.
Rib 2/2 in round. Rib 2/2 in back-and-forth rows. Stocking stitch in round. Stocking stitch in back-and-forth rows.
German short rows
1st r.: slip 1st st. k-wise with yo (double stitch), knit as far as indicated.
2nd r.: slip 1st st. p-wise with yo (double stitch), purl as far as indicated.
Across next rows, work the double stitch like a single stitch.

Procedure
DOUBLE COLLAR
Using circular needles with size 4.5 mm points and 40 cm cable, cast-on 96 (104-112) sts., close in round making sure the stitches are facing the same direction, then cut the yarn. Place one SMb.
Using double yarn (Andina Cash silk light yarn), work rib 2/2 as foll.:
1st round: (k2, p2) rep. until the end.
From 2nd to 20th round: rep. 1st round.
Round 21:using another needle, pick up the sts. from the provisional cast-on, fold the neck in half, bring the needle points closer and work together a st. from the working needle and a st. from the other one with the picked up sts.
YOKE
Using size 5.5 mm needles cont. in short rows. Knit the first round, placing the SM as indicated.
First round: k17 (18-19) for first part of the back, 1 SM, k2 for raglan, 1 SM, k10 (12-14) for the sleeve, 1 SM, k2 for raglan, 1 SM, k34 (36-38) for the front, 1 SM, k2 for raglan, 1 SM, k10 (12-14) for the sleeve, 1 SM, k2 for raglan, 1 SM, k17 (18-19) for second part of the back.
1st r.: knit until 2 sts. before the 1st SM, turn.
2nd r.: purl until the SMb, move the SMb, purl until 2 sts. before first st., turn.
3rd r.: knit until the SMb, move the SMb, knit until the next SM, SM, knit until the next SM, SM, k2, SM, k1, turn.
4th r.: purl until the SMb, move the SMb, purl until the next SM, SM, p1, SM, purl until next SM, SM, p1, SM, p1, turn.

SEPARATING THE SLEEVES FROM THE BODY
Size S: k42, remove the SM, k1, leave next 62 sts. (sleeve), cast-on 4 sts. for the undersleeve and place the SMb in the center of these 4 sts., knit 1 84 1, remove the SM, leave next 62 sts. (sleeve), cast-on 4 sts. for the undersleeve, place 1 SM in the center of these 4 sts. to mark the side, k1, remove the SM, knit until the SMb.
Size M: k45r, remove the SM, k1, leave next 66 sts. (sleeve), cast-on 4 sts. for the undersleeve and place the SMb in the center of these 4 sts., knit 1 90 1 and remove the SM, leave next 66 sts. (sleeve), cast-on 4 sts. for the undersleeve, place 1 SM in the center of these 4 sts. to mark the side, k1, remove the SM, knit until the SMb.
Size L: k48, remove the SM, k1, leave next 72 sts. (sleeve), cast-on 4 sts. for the undersleeve and place the SMb in the center of these 4 sts., knit 1 96 1 and remove the SM, leave next 72 sts. (sleeve), cast-on 4 sts. for the undersleeve, place 1 SM in the center of these 4 sts. to mark the side, k1, remove the SM, knit until the SMb.
BODY
Round 0: knit until the SMb.
1st round: work (k3tog-3) until the SMb.
From 2nd to 16th round: knit until the SMb.
From 17th to 64th round: rep. from 1st to 16th round 4 times.
Use size 4.5 mm needles.
Divide the knitting work in two parts to shape the vents and cont. separately on (90, 96, 102 sts.) of the front and (90, 96, 102 sts.) of the back. Increase 10 sts. evenly across row 0 (for all sizes) and work in rib 2/2 in back-and-forth rows as foll.:
Lower band of back
Row 0: sl1 p-wise, (p2, k2) until 3 sts. from the end, p3.
1st r.: sl1 k-wise, (k2, p2) until 3 sts. from the end, k3.
2nd r.: sl1 p-wise, (p2, k2) until 3 sts. from the end, p3.
From 3rd to 16th r.: rep. 1st and 2nd r. 8 times.
Bind off all sts. loosely.

MANICHE
Using size 5.5 mm points, 40 cm cable and double yarn, pick-up 62 (66-72) sts. you have left for the sleeve and 4 sts you have cast-on for the undersleeve; = 67 (70-76) sts. Place the SMb in the center of the undersleeve.
Round 0: knit until the SMb.
1st round: work (k3tog-3) until the SMb.
From 2nd to 16th round: knit until the SMb.
From 17th to 64th round: rep. from 1st to 16th round 4 times.
Rep. from 1 round to 12 (16-16) round until the end of round 76 (80-80), decr. 2 sts. across last round, only for sizes S and L.
Using size 4.5 needles, work the band rib 2/2.
1st round: (k2, p2) until the SMb.
Rep. the round 1 until the round 17 (17-20) and at last, bind off all sts loosely.
FINISHING
Secure and hide the ends. Wet and block. Wear!
