INSTRUCTIONS

BACK

Using no. 5.5 knitting needles, cast-on 70 sts.and, for band shaping, work 8 r. in garter st.

Continue in stocking st., decreasing on both edges, 1 st. every 4 r. 8 times; there are 54 sts.

For neckline shaping, at 47 cm from cast-on edge, bind off 24 central sts. and cont. working 2 pieces separately, decr. on both edges of neckline, 1 st. every 2 r. 4 times. Bind off 11 rem. sts. for shoulders shaping. Cut the yarn and close.

FRONT

Work as given for back.

FINISHING

On WS, using the darning needle, sew the shoulder and side seams, leaving the armholes openings.

Collar: pick-up 70 sts. around neckline edge (front and back) and work approx. 15 cm in garter st. Fold the collar inside-out and fasten it by some stay-stiches.

Hide the ends inside the fabric.
