Work in the round from the bottom-up. To facilitate the work, insert 1 SM in the 1st st. of each round, moving it up as you go.
Chain, slip st.
Slip stitch in back loop: yarn over, insert hook only in the back loop of the stitch and work 1 slip stitch.
Slip stitch in front loop: yarn over, insert hook only in the front loop of the stitch and work 1 slip stitch.

Procedure
INSTRUCTIONS
LEFT MITTEN
With 7 mm hook and color white, work 26 ch, join in the round with 1 sl st in back loop in the first ch, ensuring that the work is not twisted.
Place SM in 1a sl st of the round. Change to hook 6 mm and work in sl st back loop in every st for the next 4 cm.
Change to color blue and work 2 rounds in sl st in the in the central buttonhole positioned on the back of each sl st. of the previous round (not in the back or front loop of the upper V-shape of the sl sts).
Work in sl st in front loop in every st for the next 8 cm. Then work 2 rounds in sl st in back loop.
Change to color white and 7 mm hook and work sl st frotn loop in every st until the piece measures 12 cm.
Now, start shaping the mitten on one side to create the thumb: 9 sl st in front loop, 6 ch, skip 6 st. (thumb-space), keep working in the round in sl st in front loop until the pia ce measure 22 cm from the beginning, working 1 sl st in front loop in every of the 6 ch of the thumb-space
Work the last 3 rounds for shaping the mitten tip:
1 round: *1 sl st in font loop in the next st; 2 sl st in front loop close together in the next 2 sts (decreased) *, rep from* to * to the end of the round
2 round: 1 sl st in front loop in each st of the round
3 round: * 2 sl st in front loop close together in the next 2 sts *, rep from * to * to the end of the round.
Cut the yarn and close.
Insert the tapestry needle with the bind-off thread and pass it through the sts. of the last round, pull the thread to tighten the sts. and close the central hole, then hide between the sts. the remaining thread.
Thumb: with color white work evenly 12 sl st in frozen loop along the thumb space, replacing the 1a st. with 1 ch. Contine working in the round for the next 5 cm, then close the tip of th thumb: * 1 sl st in font loop in the next st, 2 sl st in front loop close together in the next 2 sts (decreased) *, rep from* to * to the end of the round. Cut the yarn and fasten, leaving a long tail to tighten and close the sts. as in the last round of the mitten.
Weave in all ends.
RIGHT MITTEN
Work as fort the left mitten until 12 cm, then for the thumb-space: 22 sl st in front loop (starting from SM), 6 ch, skip 6 st. Then work as for the left mitten
