Single size: 1 ball, col. 1011
Circular needles: 12 and 15 mm tips with 60 cm cable.
Others: darning needle with silicon eye, scissors, tape measures.
TENSION
10 x 10 cm = 8 sts and 10 r in stocking st using size 15 mm knitting needles, (after blocking). It is very important to check your gauge and measure the tension correctly to achieve the same results and measurements as the pattern. If the gauge is different, try adjusting the needle size up or down by half a size until you get the correct measurement.
STITCHES USED
1x1 rib with slipped stitches, twisted rib: for both stitches follow the instructions in the section “detailed pattern instructions”.

Procedure
DETAILED PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS
Use Chunky Degradè yarn by pulling from the inside of the ball, to match the color gradient as shown in the picture.
Using the double yarn (Chunky Degradè Armè) cast on 28 sts with 15 mm tips and work 1x1 rib with slipped sts as foll:
R 1 (WS): 1 selv (= yarn in front, slip 1st st p-wise), (p1, yarn in back, slip next st k-wise) rep until 1 st remains, 1 selv (= purl last st).
R 2 (RS): 1 selv (= yarn in back, slip 1st st k-wise), (k1, yarn in front, slip next st p-wise, yarn in back) rep until 1 st remains, 1 selv (= knit last
st).
R 3 to 6: rep R 1 and 2.
R 7: rep R 1.
Continue in twisted ribs.
R 8 (RS):Switch the right needle tip from size 15 mm to size 12 mm and work 1 selv (= slip 1st st k-wise), (k1 tbl, p1) rep until 1 st remains, 1
selv (= knit last st).
R 9 (WS): using size 15 mm tip, work 1 selv (= slip 1st st p-wise), (k1 tbl, p1) rep until 1 st remains, 1 selv (= purl last st).
Rep R 8 and 9 running out the first ball of Chuncky Degradè.
Start the second ball of Chunchy Degradé by pulling the yarn from the outside, to match the color gradient, then continue using the double
yarn Chunky Degradè Armè, rep r 8 and 9 and reaching 170 cm in length. Switch from 12 mm tip to 15 mm tip and continue in 1x1 rib with
slipped sts, repeating r 1 to 6 and, across r 7, bind off all sts.
FINISHING
Weave in all ends and wet.
INSTRUCTIONS
Work the scarf holding together one strand of Chunchy Degradé yarn and one strand of Armè yarn, as a single strand (double yarn).
Work the twisted rib texture using two different sizes needle tips: size 12 mm tip on one end of the cable and size 15 mm tip on the other one.
At beginning and end of every row work one selvedge.
